IKEA Shopping haul and a more organised system for George’s clothes

We love IKEA in our house and we are lucky enough to live fairly close to a store. George and I went to IKEA today to get a few bits and pieces. I wanted to get some SKUBB storage boxes, they are so helpful to arrange clothes in draws. The chaos in George’s chest of draws really annoyed me and with the help of a few SKUBB boxes it looks like this now:

It might not look perfect, but I much prefer it to the old system. I can easily see all his trousers, his socks are in one box and so are his vests. There is nothing more annoying than to try and find a matching set of clothes at 7am in the morning, is there? I actually got the idea from Pinterest, where I currently spend far too much time on. Pinterest is a great source for everything. But more about it later.

I arranged his t-shirts and jumpers in the same way as his trousers. It is so easy to find them now. The JÄLL organiser is perfect for one side of his build-in wardrobe. No chaos in there anymore aswell.

George must have been slightly confused here. We have the same TV bench and I assume he wanted to watch a DVD. It really made me laugh how he walked to every single television and tried to switch it on. It was great that his able to run around and have fun. We spent the whole yesterday inside as he had surgery on Monday. He enjoyed playing on the playground and a round on the carousel.

I bought new bed linen – it wasn’t planned but I couldn’t resist when I saw that IKEA sold the same design I already have in white. It is the OFELIA VASS design. I can not recommend it enough. It is classy, goes with nearly everything if not everything and you don’t even need to iron it. George and I are already looking forward to our next trip to the Swedish furniture store. Adjö.

How wonderful that he's up and running around so well so soon after surgery. Cute little guy. 🙂

We don't have an Ikea here, but I know everyone who goes seems to love it. 🙂

IKEA is great. They really designed their stores for families and a day out. The restaurant, the inviting café, the creche and many other things e.g the playground outside. It is far more than just a furniture store.
