IKEA Hack: Rast Chest of Drawers

Before
Just when I enter my bedroom I have a little corner, it is the wall from one side of my built-in wardrobe. I needed something where I can put a vase and maybe some pictures on and while browsing in Ikea I found the RAST chest of drawers for £20.

I painted the wood with Farrow&Ball’s paint in Clunch. Interior paint for wood and metal in an estate eggshell finish cost £20. Clunch is the same colour as the walls in my bedroom. I think Clunch is a timeless, classy and sophisticated colour. The knobs are the FÅGLAVIK in brass colour. Two cost £3. The wood needed three coats of paint and it took me roughly two days until everything was dried and ready to go up in my bedroom.

My bf had exactly the same chest of drawers (but in metallic blue) and he gave them to me to do a bit of upcycling with it. I painted them white and used some adhesive foil. Exchanged the knobs with some vintage ones from Sass & Belle and now have a very girly-ish new little wardrobe 🙂
