August Summary

August has been a lovely month for me and I can’t believe how quickly it passed. Summer is coming to an end and soon it is time to get my autumn wardrobe out. I blogged 33 times in August, so roughly one post per day and it has been nothing but great. I am always looking forward to all your comments.

I started August with finally buying a new laptop or rather a Chromebook just to discover a few hours later, that my iPhone stopped working and I needed to buy a new one. If you have missed the post, you can read it here May the Chromebook be the best thing for blogging ever? . Since buying my new laptop, blogging has become an even better experience and I don’t miss my old laptop at all. I also wrote about my lunch at Shake Shack Covent Garden and my casual dining experience at Genji Sushi inside the Whole Foods Market on Kensington High Street.

Shortly afterwards I booked a weekend getaway to Germany, visiting friends and family in Cologne and Frankfurt. While my weekend was great, I was rather annoyed with Easyjet, who is not so easy after all. While in Germany I stayed at the Roomers Hotel in Frankfurt and the Tryp Hotel at Dusseldorf airport. I am also travelling to Istanbul at the weekend for a week and I am very excited. Find out what I would like to do in Istanbul. If you are thinking about planning a holiday, try out the new travel search engine Amadeus.netBimuno TRAVELAID Probiotics are a great product and should you suffer from an upset stomach while travelling, this is the product for you.

I took the children to Manic Monsters in Edenbridge and also wrote about the Germans in Britain Exhibition at the German Historical Institute, which will start on the 18th of September and run until the 24th of October.

Of course I also baked a lot in August and you can find a great recipe for Gluten-free Brownie Muffins and dairy as well as flour free Peanut butter chocolate chip biscuits here. Inspired by a recipe discovered at my local Slimming World class, I tried out my first low-carb Paleo friendly quiche with success.

While I am not a fashion blogger, by all means, I was asked to write a blog post for Bonprix and I chose my favourite pieces for apple-shaped women from their swimwear collection You should also have a look at the Little Mistress<<website and their collections and you can read about the PR day for the new Fearne Cotton Collection<<. I gave an insight into my daily make-up routine and the content of my handbag.

My friend Nina is leaving in two weeks and I wrote about the last time >>we went shopping together and our fantastic dinner at Inamo St. James. Last but not least, I would like to tell you about the Mirabilia Organic Olive Leaf Tea, it is a great alternative to black tea and try to swap your children’s lunch box crisps for ZOOBs vegetable based snacks They taste absolutely amazing. Thanks to Facebook I found out about a local business A Vintage Affair, a family run company who hires out everything you need for a vintage themed party.

In August my blog had over 7000 unique pageviews, and gained many more followers across all my social networks. While blogging is not about numbers for me, I am grateful people enjoy reading my blog and leave great comments below my posts.
