September is coming to an end, which means it’s time to get out your thick jumpers, mugs of hot chocolate and your autumn makeup essentials. Read on to find out the products I’ll be using this autumn and what I think you should be using too!
For eye makeup I think the ultimate essential is the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette. It’s perfect for creating warm, smoky eyes that look stunning in the autumn. My other favourite eye shadow for this time of year is Mac Cranberry. I haven’t found another comparable shade so I definitely think it’s worth it.
Most people like to go more daring with their lip colour in autumn with shades like this and this, but if you’re like me and a bit scared of dark lips you could go for a coloured gloss. I‘m loving the formula of the Max Factor Colour Elixer Glosses and I would wear this shade all year round! I also find myself reaching for lip pencils like this Clinique one in the shade Super Strawberry as you can go for a darker colour but in a more subtle way. I think the Rimmel Apocalips are another great product for this time of year as they aren’t drying and have a strong pigment that can be sheered down to a more wearable shade.
Out of all my makeup, it’s my nail colour that tends to change most in the Autumn as I just can’t resist the dark berry and red colours. For a special occasion I would always go for Deborah Lippman in Through The Fire which you can unfortunately only find eBay, but the Max Factor and Rimmel polishes are great options for everyday.
