Let me tell you a little bit more about the tour. The London Ghost Bus Tour is a theatrical sightseeing tour through the dark heart of the capital. The bus tour shows London’s gruesome past, while seeing the city’s most famous sites such as the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Downing Street, St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and last but not least London Bridge.
The tour is not only interesting, but also really scary yet mixed with the best of British humour. While I laughed one minute, I was scared the next and one time I nearly jumped on my friend’s lap. Maybe I should add, that I am scared easily and I was glad to be able to bring my friend with me. I could tell you everything about the ride, but I don’t want to give away too much information about the tour. You really need to experience it for yourself.
The tour runs daily at 19:30 and 21:00 and departs from outside the Grand Hotel, opposite the Sherlock Holmes pub on Northumberland Avenue off Trafalgar Square. It is very easy to find and it’s only a two minute walk from Charing Cross Station and not much longer to walk from the Embankment Tube station. While last minute tickets may be available on board, I would recommend booking the tickets in advance from The London Ghost Bus Tour website. Tickets cost £21 for adults, concession tickets cost £15 for children and students and a ticket for a family of two adults and two children cost £57. Depending on traffic the tour takes approximately one hour and fifteen minutes and you will be dropped off at the stop on Northumberland Avenue.
