I made my body very sick over the last years and it’s finally catching up with me. I ignored all the red flags, well, I tried to make changes but I always failed. I am now at a point, where I not only have to deal with ruptured ovarian cysts every month, but also with a bad outbreak of Candida albicans and being the heaviest I have ever been. On the 21st of December I have surgery and it is one of the biggest wake up calls. I feel like a 25 year old trapped in an old woman’s body. One of my biggest priorities now and in the future will have to be my health.
I have Ella Woodward’s ‘Deliciously Ella’ book. It’s a great book and very inspiring, but I am not planning on becoming a vegan. Also not all of the recipes are Candida friendly, as Ella loves to use beans and lentils, something I wouldn’t be allowed at first on the Candida diet. I still think it’s a great book and I can’t recommend it enough. You can order it for £9 on Amazon.
As Ella’s book is vegan, I looked at other options too, mainly things that are sugar and dairy free and someone recommend Madeleine Shaw’s book ‘Get the Glow’ to me. Of course I ordered it directly and it should arrive tomorrow. It has a six week programme, that is very strict (so I heard) and maybe it’s just what I need to get started.
I also need to start working out again. In my new place I will have a gym in the basement with a TV, so I can start the 30 Day Shred and I am also planning on starting with Yoga. I think it’s good for my stiffness and my posture.
While I want to share my progress with others, It won’t be on here. I have started a new blog, where I will write about my healing progress:
