My stay at the Lapita Hotel, Dubai Parks and Resorts

I have just returned from a one night stay at the Lapita Hotel, Dubai Parks and Resorts. If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen on my Instagram Story that I spend a lot of my weekends at Motiongate at the moment. Motiongate Dubai is a Hollywood-inspired theme park located inside Dubai Parks and Resorts, the latter also includes Legoland and its attached water park. Inside Motiongate you’ll find themed areas and attractions based on DreamWorks Animation, Columbia Pictures, Lionsgate and The Smurfs. I especially love two of their roller coasters: Madagascar Mad Pursuit and Dragon Gliders, both at Dreamworks.

The good thing about staying at Lapita Hotel is that you’ll get unlimited access to all the exhilarating rides and attractions within Dubai Parks and Resorts with additional complimentary Q-Fast access to Bollywood Parks Dubai and Motiongate Dubai. Hardly any queuing and that saves a lot of your time. Lapita also offers two outdoor swimming pools and a lazy river, but unfortunately we didn’t have time to make use of the pools and the lazy river is currently closed. The hotel offers a shuttle bus service to the Outlet Village and golf buggies to drop you off at the nearby Riverland which offers lots of cafes and restaurants.

The hotel has 504 rooms, including 60 suites and three private villas with a distinctive Polynesian-themed style. Upon entering Lapita’s grand lobby, you’ll see high ceilings, grand ornate lamps and intricate wooden Tiki interiors and you will like you escaped to a serene island oasis. It really is a great retreat after an exhausting day at the theme parks. I have been to Motiongate quite a few times in the last weeks and we used the valet parking at Lapita, so I already knew the hotel a little bit and I always liked the good vibes.

Lapita Hotel Reception

We booked very last minute (6pm on the day of arrival), mainly to use the theme parks and not have to go home in the evening. The staff was friendly and made us feel very welcome. Overall, I liked my stay, albeit short, at Lapita. I do think some things need to improve, but I will return soon for a longer stay concentrating more on the hotel facilities than the theme parks. WiFi throughout the property is free and it easily connects to the WiFi at Riverland and the other theme parks which is a big plus for social media addicts like me. The night at Lapita with free breakfast including all tax cost us £203.50 (1013DHS).
